The Vita Coco company is seeking a Procurement Manager - Indirect. The Procurement Manager - Indirect is will be part of the growing Operations team with a predominate focus on operational procurement but also includes scope to support procurement activities across all HQ departments. The procurement manager will interact and partner with all levels of leadership across HQ to support vendor relationships and deliver value to the P&L.

This is a Hybrid role – available to work from our NYC HQ 2-3 days per week with infrequent travel availability. Reporting to Sr Director, Sales & Operations Planning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement processes and guidelines and embed across all HQ departments.
  • Lead and manage end to end RFP process and work with functional teams to select new vendors that are the right fit for Vita Coco and align to our business goals.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with prospective vendors to deliver the best value to Vita Coco, working in conjunction with legal team.
  • Identify and implement systems needed to support long term procurement strategy.
  • Support functional teams with vendor management to deliver value and innovation across the business: create scorecards and KPI tracking, lead quarterly/monthly vendor reviews and support with improvement plans as necessary.
  • Understand and incorporate category trends both internally and externally to shape the procurement strategy and prioritize focus areas based on financial and business goals.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in procurement roles across multiple categories, ideally including operations experience such as warehousing. · Bachelors degree or higher, ideally in Finance, Business or related field.
  • Experience with CPG industry preferred.
  • Experience with ERP system such as SAP preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority within multiple departments both internally and externally.
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently to deliver results.

At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $85,000-$110,000. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at 10% of base salary. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
