The Vita Coco Company is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter and insights expert who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, the Consumer Insights Manager will partner closely with the Marketing and Innovation teams to ensure that insights are at the forefront of everything we do. Responsibilities will include developing learning plans to elevate knowledge of our consumers and key occasions, conducting primary and secondary research to answer critical business questions, and ensuring that insights are leading to actions with measurable results. There will also be opportunity for frequent cross-functional collaboration and exposure to senior leadership.

This role will report to the Senior Director of Category and Consumer Insights and will be based out of our NYC headquarters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be the expert on our consumer and advocate for them internally ensuring that they are always kept top of mind (who they are, the occasions for which they are consuming, what motivates them, what barriers they face, etc.)
  • Become a valued go-to partner for the Marketing and Innovation teams, ensuring that critical decisions are rooted in insight
  • Synthesize existing data sources to craft compelling analyses and answer day-to-day business questions
  • Partner closely with market research agencies to design research plans that deliver valuable insights and uncover opportunities
  • Take inventory of current insights offerings and analytical capabilities and make recommendations to fill knowledge gaps
  • Introduce innovative and outside-the-box research concepts
  • Analyze effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make recommendations for future opportunities
  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and solve the right business questions and present findings and recommendations to the team
  • Maintain a natural curiosity for and become an expert in trends driving natural + functional beverage consumption


  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field
  • 4-6 years of consumer insights experience required, ideally working in close partnership with Brand/Marketing teams and external vendors
  • Expertise in mining panel data sources to extract actionable insights (ex: Numerator, IRI, etc.)
  • Experience designing and executing research to answer critical business questions and inform plans
  • Prior experience coordinating multicultural research is preferred
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Natural curiosity and desire to learn with a strong passion for insights

At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $80,000-$110,000. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
