The Vita Coco Company – known for the world’s largest coconut water brand, Vita Coco – is seeking a part-time merchandiser to launch its newest brand PWR LIFT in Phoenix, Arizona. Reporting to the Market Development Manager, the Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring perfect execution of PWR LIFT on-shelf and on displays in key accounts like Walmart, QuikTrip, and CVS. The merchandiser will be critical in supporting the Market Development Manager as they continue to open new points of distribution for the brand in Arizona.

The Merchandiser will work in the field regularly.

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Follow-up on key accounts opened by the Market Development manager, ensuring product has been properly ordered and displayed in-store.
  • Build displays of PWR LIFT with appropriate point-of-sale materials, ensuring a premium and compelling execution each time.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of in-store product demos, sampling shoppers and incentivizing purchase of PWR LIFT.
  • Implement regular sales support visits, helping with voids, out-of-stocks, and direct communication with the sales team/distributor.
  • Identify new points of distribution to drive brand growth, collaborating with the market development manager to grow local distribution.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to HQ Marketing team, helping to outline best practices for the market.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and requirements.

Administration Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regular submission and tracking of day-to-day activities.
  • Manage budgets, tactical resources, and tools to maximize against KPIs.

Qualifications

  • A team player that with energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude.
  • An organized and task-oriented problem-solver that can think on their feet, take initiative, and make fast-paced decisions.
  • Must own a personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Local travel required, with occasional evenings and weekend work likely. This person will be willing to do what it takes to bring PWR LIFT into the hands of our core consumer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead.

Job Type: 3-month contract (with option to extend)

Availability: At least 4 days a week, including potential for one weekend day; no more than 20 hours/week

Hourly Rate: $19/hour
