The Vita Coco company is searching for a Key Account Merchandiser. The Key Account Merchandiser will visit key accounts in their assigned territory and work with local distributors and distributor sales reps to increase visibility, availability, and overall presence of our brands inside assigned territories. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person.

Reporting to the Key Accounts Execution Specialist, this role is based out of Bronx or Harlem, NY. This is a part-time role requiring a minimum availability of 24 hours a week (three 8-hour days). For this role a valid driver's license is required and access to a vehicle on a daily basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up on key accounts opened by the Key Accounts Execution Specialist, ensuring product has been properly ordered and displayed in-store
  • Physically build out both small and large displays using cases of product ranging from 10-35 pounds with appropriate point-of-sale materials, ensuring a premium and compelling execution each time
  • Implement regular sales support visits, helping with voids, out-of-stocks, and direct communication with the Key Accounts Execution Specialist
  • Identify new points of distribution to drive brand growth, collaborating with the Key Accounts Execution Specialist to grow local distribution
  • Provide feedback and market insights to Key Accounts Execution Specialist, helping to outline best practices for the market
  • Maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
  • Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution
  • Proper shelf management positions for cold and ambient
  • Permanent and paper POS placements and display merchandising
  • Be an expert in all things Vita Coco
  • Visit our top stores to reinforce strong relationships
  • Seed product in existing accounts through merchandising and identify potential new accounts
  • Be willing to learn and participate in all aspects of Vita Coco
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must have a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. Local travel required
  • Ability to navigate the streets of New York City in a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Innovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding the business
  • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them
  • Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, and consumers
  • Ability to lift cases pf product between 10-35 pounds
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Availability: 3 days a week, 24 hours/week

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $17.00-$19.00 an hour. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
