The Vita Coco company is searching for a Merchandiser/Sales Support. The Merchandiser/Sales Support will visit key accounts in their assigned territory and work with local distributors and distributor sales reps to increase visibility, availability, and overall presence of our brands inside assigned territories. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Market Development, this role is based out of Long Island, NY. This is a part time role requiring a minimum availability of 24 hours a week (three 8-hour days).

Main Responsibilities:

    • Deliver large quantities of product to key accounts in their assigned territory
    • Achieve explosive revenue growth in assigned retail accounts
    • Physically build out both small and large displays using cases of product ranging from 10-35 pounds
    • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
    • Develop plans within territory to execute programming given from Vita Coco
    • Sell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors and brokers
    • Call on key decision makers bi-monthly basis to optimize in store availability
    • Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution
    • Proper shelf management positions for cold and ambient
    • Permanent and paper POS placements and display merchandising
    • Be an expert in all things Vita Coco
    • Visit our top stores to reinforce strong relationships
    • Seed product in existing accounts through merchandising and identify potential new accounts
    • Be willing to learn and participate in all aspects of Vita Coco

    Qualifications:

    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    • Ability to navigate the streets of New York City in a vehicle
    • Excellent communication and follow up skills
    • Innovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding the business
    • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them
    • Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, and consumers
    • Ability to lift cases pf product between 10-35 pounds
    • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

    At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay for this position is $19.00. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
