The Trade Marketing Director will play the crucial role of connecting the dots between Brand Marketing and National/Regional Accounts, developing strategies, and implementing plans to grow our business at retail. This role is based out of our NYC HQ reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Own trade marketing strategy for our brand portfolio, by bringing sales and trade marketing expertise to below the line program development
  • Act as an execution and creative bridge from Brand Marketing Teams to Sales execution/Retailer/DSD programming
  • Manage the customization and implementation of national and regional brand programming within all retail channels to deliver volume and growth
  • Own the development of all sell-in tools, including strategic presentations, channel/retailer insights, 1-pagers and sell sheets and represent Brand Teams in presentations to Retail or DSD partners as needed (some travel required)
  • Own the marketing strategy and mix for key accounts, tailor brand programs, and priorities through tactics including but not limited to omni and shopper media, loyalty, couponing, and merchandising
  • Own and aggregate all BTL initiatives for Key Accounts, complementing national/regional brand programs with bespoke account-specific programs and initiatives that drive the business within each account
  • Leverage understanding of occasions and rich insights to provide consumer and shopper-driven solutions that drive brand performance across all channels (volume, share, program execution, distribution, velocity)
  • Manage the ROI for brand, channel, and retailer-specific BTL programs, recommending optimizations and interventions when needed
  • Liaise with National/Regional Account and DSD Teams on all issues and opportunities relevant to their positions including merchandising, marketing, and any other applicable plans/actions

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales and/or trade marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of trade marketing and sales organization
  • Understanding of the shifting retail landscape and omni/shopper media platforms
  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external. Ability to develop selling materials and to sell programs
  • Proficiency in PPT, Excel, IRI, and internal data systems
  • Analytical and solutions-oriented
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator
